History
The Word of God came strong and clear as read from Matthew 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” That became the moving inspiration for the creation of a prayer group.
It all started in 1980 by about seven ( 7 ) individuals headed by Bro. Cesar Roxas and Sis Letty Nicolas. The prayer group would meet every Saturday afternoon among the employees of SPLPI and St Peter Memorial Chapels Inc. (SPMCI) from 4 to 6 o’clock in the evening.
The first Life in the Spirit Seminar (LSS) was attended by fifteen people that was held at the 3rd floor of the St Peter Life Plan Inc. (SPLPI) offices. As the group grew it became necessary to make another group for SPLPI employees alone. Prayer Meetings were set on Mondays at 8 o’clock in the morning.
Equipped with healing, teaching and music being our charisms, different ministries were then born. Our outreaches included radio and television. The good Lord was kind enough to let us have the first Prayer Meeting On-the-Air over Radio Veritas with the late Rev. Fr. Ben Carreon, OMI and it lasted for six long years until the onset of the EDSA Revolution.
Under the able leadership of our elder, Ernie M Burdeos, the flock increased in number totaling to 487 committed members and have matured. Tribe leaders were appointed through prayers to head each tribe named after the 12 tribes of Israel. The community has built its own prayer center where the regular Monday and Saturday prayer meetings are being held. Life in the Spirit Seminars had been its main form of recruiting members. It is regularly held every last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, monthly for the last 18 years.

The acrostics of “UNLAD” speaks well of the situation of St. Peter Life Plan, Inc. in its pursuit of achieving its goal in society. Molded and nurtured with the spirituality of St. Peter Community of which its personnel are active members, all its endeavors are geared towards the complete development of a person in both spiritual and temporal necessities. The progress which St. Peter Life Plan, Inc. and its sister companies-St. Peterlife Lending, St. Peterlife Holdings and St. Peter Memorial Homes enjoys, is the juxtaposition of Divine guidance and the cultivation of personal attributes given by God to men.
It is constantly claimed by us that God is the unseen Founder, Chairman and Mover of this company, so much so that the 28 years of the company’s existence is the concrete landmark to this claim. Whether coincidence or Providential inspiration worked upon the naming of this company, as St. Peter Life Plan, for “Petra” means rock, an object which projects firmness and stability.
Drawing strength from each other upon reliance of God’s grace, solidifies our group of companies as well as its individual personnel. Recent programs of the Life Plan expands its concept of service to man in his last needs. It now includes assisting them in in their striving for a better life through scholarship program integrated in the main lifeline of business. This of course is inspired by the gospel exhortation of loving our fellowmen.
To praise God not only by words of our mouth, but also in deeds is each St. Peterian’s aspiration. “UNLAD” in the totality of its connotation, has ceased to become not a motto, but has become instead a guiding principle in our actions.
